There are tons of places on the internet to get divorce forms. Doing a google search for “divorce forms” will return more results than you could ever hope to be able to search through. Luckily you won’t have to.
When looking for divorce forms, the best place to go is not actually the internet, but your County Clerk’s office. The County Clerk will have the most up to date forms available. Divorce laws change all the time and every time they change, new divorce forms need to be printed. The only way to make sure that the forms you are using are current is to visit your County Clerk’s office.
Another place you want to look is your local library or human resource center. These forms will hold much of the same information but it is important to know that they might not be the most recent version. Still, though, if you are only looking for a source of information and to get an idea of what it will be like to fill out divorce forms, your local library or human resource center might either have some, or know where you can get them.
If you are thinking of getting divorced, you will need to contact a lawyer before you even fill out your name on your divorce forms. Your lawyer might have divorce forms that you can use and they will know all of the current divorce laws. Not only will they know the law, but they will be able to help you fill out the forms correctly.
If you are more comfortable using the internet to find divorce forms, here are a couple of sites you can try. Keep in mind though, that these sites might not have current information.

This site not only has divorce forms, but it also has the informational packages that are usually given out with divorce forms. All of these forms are available for download and do not cost a cent to view or print. The site is easy to navigate. Simply select your state from the front page and then find the appropriate type of form you are looking for. That will take you to a menu of the files available for downloading. These files will be informational packages and forms. Clicking on them brings up a PDF file that you can scroll through or print. Note: these packages and form bundles are huge. Some are over fifty pages long, so you might not want to print anything out unless you really have to.
There are a number of other sites to look through on the internet that all promise divorce forms. Most of these sites-even the sites that promise to be free-have a cost to them. The free sites might try to tack on a “delivery” or “download” charge before you can view the forms and there is no guarantee that the forms are current. If you have any questions, contact your County Clerk, who will put the most current forms right into your hands.

Even if you think that things will stay friendly and both you and your spouse make every effort to keep them that way, a lawyer must be consulted to make sure that everything is filled out and filed correctly.
